Dalai Lama Summer Palaces

There is so much to see in the old city of Lhasa, and we started the day with the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas. You enter a gate and then you are in a park like place.

There are several main buildings set in some beautiful grounds. Everything is done very Feng Shui, with a balance of earth and water.

Some of these buildings date back many centuries and I was astounded at the interiors. Of course, no pictures are allowed.

There are about 20 nuns who live there and keep the place up.
